Soulfire Stuff
Plans
have been finalized for the summer mission trip! We will be
traveling to Cairo, Illinois to work with
Charles Dillon. During his trip down the Mississippi River last
summer, Cairo found a place in his heart. Many of the buildings
and homes are run down and need some lovin'. That's where we come
in! We will camp at a local campground from June 19-26...
work in Cairo during the day and worship with Charles and the town in
the evenings.
After working with Charles for
several years now, I've learned a few things. This trip will be
challenging. We will work hard and we MUST expect the unexpected.
We will learn things about ourselves and about the God we serve.
I'm praying that you will
want to be a part of the "Charles in Cairo" trip.
The challenges and new things you experience during the trip will become
important in helping you know God in a different way! GO
GOD!

Paul in ROME
We will be studying Paul and his ministry for the
next 4 weeks at Soulfire. He was one courageous, bold,
and faithful dude!
PIZZA...PIZZA...PIZZA...PIZZA...
140 Pizzas were assembled and distributed on
Saturday, Feb 13. If you have any money, please turn it in by
Sunday, Feb 21. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the adults
that helped assemble the pizzas!
We are still collecting aluminum cans to recycle for cash.
Please continue to bring them to Soulfire or to the Fruths.

God has asked us to step up
and be more involved with His work outside the church walls.
This year we will be doing more work in the Carthage community.
Projects that we will assist with are: the food pantry, coat
distribution, & nursing home visits.
Look for other ways we can love our neighbors.

Harvest always needs volunteers. Need a community service
project at school? Talk to Robin about how you can do that at the

God Way Loud!!! Summer 2010
Mission Experience
Mississippi
Flows! June 19-26 will find us heading to
the Mississippi River to work with Charles & Judy Dillon. Trip
deposit of $40, permission forms, and consent to travel forms are to
be turned in by Sunday, Mar 14. Spend some time in
prayer as you think about coming along. Some of the things we
will do: painting, landscaping, praying, singing, walking,
playing at the river, and other surprises. Talk to us if you
have questions!

---- Ways to serve in our Community!
Food Pantry......... The food pantry is open on the 2nd &
4th Saturdays of each month from 8-11 AM. Talk to Robin G. if you want
to help.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO IT FOR GOD!
The youth group at the Ridge meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month
at 6 PM. Soulfire is open to teens from 7th grade on up. Special
events are planned once a month. Let us know if you would like to be a
part of a regular Bible Study!
Children's
Ministries
Kids Night Out
begins in February. We will be exploring the High Seas and learning that
God's Word is true based on Acts 12:1-19. Hang on to your life
rafts as we hear about how God frees Peter from prison. It's
really cool! Food, Games, and Crafts... RSVP to the
church office to reserve your spot.
Kids Night Out was
cancelled due to the blizzard that hit that day. Keep checking
back to find out when it will be rescheduled!
Plans are underway for SOCCER CAMP this summer.

Camp W
Camp W is
Sunday morning worship for ages preschool - upper elementary.
Singing and stories around the campfire in the "back woods" at the Ridge
beginning at 9 AM.
Watch closely as the back woods is
transformed into a ship to sail the High Seas...
Childrens Church is available for children from 2
years - 6th grade. Bible stories, games and memory verses are part
of the fun for this alternative for children during the last half of the
worship service.
Coffee House
Sunday mornings at 9 AM, coffee & snacks are available.
