Youth Ministry at the Ridge

Youth Group Stuff

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  God is so awesome!  Last month I wrote on Michael and Emily's marathon run.  They made it the whole way.  Michael developed a knee problem that resulted in them slowing way down, BUT they made it.

This month I am thinking about thankful living.  Thank you God, that I have made it through this year.  If I had known ahead of time what was going to happen this year in our family, I probably would have said "No Thanks".  God had different plans.  He asked Michael and I to walk through grief, anxiety, worry, and sorrow.  He also journeyed with us through joy, peace, and blessings.  Our perspective on things is so important.  Do you suppose that God looks at us and sees things way differently than we do?  I'm reminded of  what the apostle Paul says in Romans 8:28....

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Soooooo... maybe the stuff in our lives that doesn't make sense to us makes sense to God.  Think about it.  AND in the middle of it all,  I can tell you that WE MADE IT!!!!

 With love,

Stephanie

God has asked us to step up and be more involved with His work outside the church walls.                      This year we will be doing more work in the Carthage community.  Projects that we will assist with are:  the food pantry, coat distribution, nursing home visits, and winterizing low-income homes in Carthage.  Look for other ways we can love our neighbors.
